This indenture made this 4Th day of January 1798 between Sanford Dixon of Person County and state of North Carolina of the one part and Jacob Dixon of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. With said that the said Sanford Dixon for and in consideration of the sum of 95 pounds Virginia money to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt where the said Sanford Dixon doth hereby acknowledge and himself now with fully contented satisfied and paid, Hath bargained sold XXXXXXX confirmed made over and doth by these present for himself his heirs XXXX and all and every of them. Bargain sell XXX confirmed unto the said Jacob Dixon and unto his heirs and assigns forever one tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the said county of Person on Bluewing creek. Beginning at a stake on Thomas Halliburton's line and turning thence south 47 chains to a red oak. Thence east crossing the creek 21.35 link to a post oak. Thence north 47 chains to point on the said Thomas Hallibuton's line. Thence his line west to 21.35 links to the first station containing 100 acres and the division and divisions of XXX remainder and XXXX remainder right estates interest benefits claims and demands whatsoever of him the said Sanford Dixon of in or the said land and premises or any part thereof to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of and all singular the premises with them and every of their appXXXX unto the said Jacob Dixon his heirs and assigns forever and the said Sanford Dixon for himself his heirs the said said tract of land with all and singular xxx premises with their apprentxxxxx unto the said Sanford Dixon and this heirs and against him the said Sanford Dixon his heirs and against any other person or persons whatsoever. In with said whereof I Sanford Dixon hath XXXX set my hand and affixed my seal this day and year just above written.

John Wilkerson will for 1815

In the name of God amen.
I John Wilkerson of Person County North Carolina being of of sound mind but weak in body and knowing that all men must die do constitute here my last will and testament in the following do wit:
After my just debts is paid my will is that my wife Sarah shall peaceable possess all my estate both real and personal as long as she remains my widow, my will further is that my wife shall give to my children here in after named at their marriage as she may think best for them such things as they may need to be accounted for when a division shall take place among them at her death or marriage. That is David, William, James, John, Sarah are the children I wish to have an equal share of my estate at their mother's death.
My will is further is that my daughter Margret Dixon have five pounds at my wife death.
I do appoint my wife Sarah and my son William and James Wilkerson executors to this my last will and testament as witnessed my hand and seal this 26 November 1815.
